The "Omusubi Concert by Kaoru Kondo and Friends" is held as part of the Kumagawa-juku Wakasa Art Festival in Wakasa Town, Fukui Prefecture. Kaoru Kondo, a top performer from the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, performs together with "Koshi no Ruby Artists" associated with Fukui in a concert themed around "connecting" (musubu) Wakasa with Kyoto, artists with local residents, and art with music. It provides a heartwarming time with beautiful harmonies that even those unfamiliar with classical music can easily enjoy. This concert is held as a chamber music performance within the art festival set in Kumagawa-juku, a historic post town connecting Wakasa and Kyoto. Performers include Kaoru Kondo (supervisor/violin), Sarasa Izumiya (violin), Daisuke Kato (viola), Keishi Sonku (cello), Shuichiro Endo (contrabass), and Risa Nakatani (piano). Vaughan Williams's Piano Quintet and other pieces are scheduled to be performed.
