About this event

"Mt. Fuji Triathlon Fuji Kawaguchiko 2026," a triathlon competition where you can fully enjoy the beautiful nature of Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Saiko while overlooking magnificent Mt. Fuji, will be held. In a prime location at the foot of Mt. Fuji, this competition will captivate athletes. For individual events, along with the standard distance of 1.5 km swim, 41 km bike, and 10 km run, a half swim distance of 0.75 km swim, 41 km bike, and 10 km run is also prepared. Relay events are also conducted, making it possible to take on the challenge together with teammates. The competition is organized by Fujikawaguchiko Town, the Japan Triathlon Union, Yamanashi Nichinichi Shimbun, and Yamanashi Broadcasting System, requiring athletes to possess the technique and physical stamina to finish within the time limit, as well as the will to comply with competition rules. Eligibility is for domestic residents aged 18 or older as of December 31, 2026, who are members of a prefectural triathlon organization or non-registered athletes who agree to register with the Yamanashi Triathlon Union. There is a day-before check-in (Saturday, September 5, 10:00-18:00), which includes verification of viewing the race briefing video. The time limit is 1 hour until the end of the swim (30 minutes for the half swim), 3 hours until the end of the bike, and 4 hours 30 minutes until the end of the run. Entries for individuals/organization members, Furusato Nozei entries, and accommodation-inclusive entries are currently open.
