Touring Exhibition: "Momoko Sakura Exhibition"

This is an exhibition of Momoko Sakura, a rare artist who held multiple roles as a manga artist, essayist, lyricist, and screenwriter, continuously creating new characters and essays one after another. "Chibi Maruko-chan," which began serialization in 1986 and was adapted into an anime in 1990, became a national manga loved by everyone from adults to children. Her debut essay collection "Momo no Kanzume," published in 1991, became a massive best-seller exceeding 2.9 million copies. In this exhibition, numerous representative works will be introduced with an unprecedented volume of handwritten manuscripts and original color illustrations. While extremely busy fully enjoying drawing and writing, Momoko Sakura deeply loved the changing of seasons and the small moments of daily life. This exhibition delivers all of her charm without reserve. It is an exhibition that approaches her sensibility, which continues to shine even today.
