The 69th Matsumoto Citizens' Festival / Matsumoto Matsuri will be held on November 3, 2026 (public holiday). On the day, numerous events are planned as street festivities, starting with an opening ceremony. In addition, on the same day, the '69th Matsumoto Citizens' Festival Commendation Ceremony' will be held at M-Wing starting from 11:00, presenting meritorious service awards, good deed commendations, honors, and commendations for commerce, tourism, agriculture, and forestry contributions. Furthermore, the Matsumoto City Culture and Arts Commendation Ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Art Museum from 15:00. These events will be carried out in cooperation with the Matsumoto Matsuri Executive Committee Secretariat, the Mayor's Secretarial and Public Relations Office, Commerce and Industry Division, and Cultural Promotion Division. National Treasure Matsumoto Castle Week will also be held during the same period, and on November 3 (public holiday), an autumn tea ceremony sponsored by Urasenke Tankokai, the Nijurokuya-shin Grand Festival, a special exhibition at the Taiko Gate, a 150th-anniversary exhibition of the founding of Former Kaichi School, a National Treasure Matsumoto Castle Kojodaiko drum performance, and a Castle Tower Children's Night Tour are scheduled.
