Held in Toyamago, Iida City, Nagano Prefecture, the 'Toyamago Misayama Festival Fireworks Display' is a summer tradition that echoes across the Toyama Valley. It is scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, along the riverbed of the Toyama River (near Roadside Station Toyamago Kagura-no-Yu [Michi-no-Eki Toyamago Kagura-no-Yu]). As part of a community-rooted festival, this fireworks display illuminates the summer night sky. Through sponsorship contributions, fireworks can be launched along with family names or personal messages to commemorate milestones and memories such as weddings, births, longevity celebrations, prayers for children's growth, family safety, or business prosperity. Sponsorship starts from 10,000 yen for a size 4 shell, and the application deadline is July 10. Applications can be submitted via FAX or web form, and inquiries can be directed to the Toyamago Tourism Association (TEL: 0260-34-1071). As a summer tradition of Toyamago, this fireworks show will be a special summer memory for both local residents and visitors.
