As an opportunity to pass down and convey the charm of the lion dance—a precious culture preserved in Iida and Shimoina—to many people, this festival is an important event that also contributes to regional revitalization. In particular, regions where large-scale float lions still exist are rare nationwide, and their dynamic dance captivates spectators. It is a rare opportunity to experience up close the traditional performing arts preserved over many years by preservation societies and feel the depth of the culture rooted in the local community.
