Snow-Cured Rice Accompaniment Grand Prix 2026

Held in Numata Town, Hokkaido, the "Snow-Cured Rice Accompaniment Grand Prix 2026" is a sales event for side dishes that go perfectly with rice. Hosted at Tom-Tom Plaza in front of Ishikari-Numata Station, it will take place on Tuesday, October 25, 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00. At the event, rice accompaniments crafted with care by exhibitors will be sold, and visitors will vote via disposable chopsticks along with a panel of judges to determine the Grand Prix winner. Luxurious supplementary prizes such as the Grand Prize, Runner-up Prize, and Judges' Award are also prepared. Booth registration is free, but conditions include preparing a sufficient quantity of products that can be served during the event and providing 5 free portions for judging. Priority will be given to shops that sell retail goods in addition to rice accompaniments, so you may encounter a wide variety of products. In conjunction with the event, an open call for exhibitors is also being conducted, requiring applications via the submission form by 17:00 on Friday, September 25, 2026.
