About this event

Koumi-machi Star Party 2026 ~Experience the Beautiful Starry Sky of Koumi Town~ will be held at Koumi Town Sports Ground in Nagano Prefecture from 13:00 on Saturday, November 7, 2026, to 10:00 on Sunday, November 8, 2026. At this event, you can observe Saturn's rings at their best viewing period and the Andromeda Galaxy, the most distant celestial object visible to the naked eye. There will also be observations of colorful nebulae using popular smart telescopes, as well as a smartphone astrophotography class where you can photograph the Milky Way with your own smartphone. From 18:00 to 19:30, a "Star Gazing Party for General & Local Visitors" will take place, where many astronomy enthusiasts will guide participants through the universe using their prized equipment. This event is organized by Tenmon Reflections and the KSP Executive Committee, with cooperation from Koumi Town, Nagano Prefecture. Elementary school students and younger, Koumi Town residents, and town affiliates can participate for free.
