Teacher Marumo's Tree Class: Let's Explore the Secrets of Trees - Akitsu no Ono Edition

About this event

This is an experiential event held at Akitsu no Ono Park in Kawakami Village, Nara Prefecture, where participants stroll through a summer forest to uncover the secrets of trees. While listening to the murmuring of waterfalls and rivers, participants will collect leaves of interest and investigate them in detail together with nature guide Erika Marumo. Creating a one-of-a-kind "Leaf Field Guide" through this experience is also ideal for summer vacation independent research projects. Participants can discover connections among forest living creatures and deepen their understanding of nature. During the event, kakinoha-zushi (persimmon leaf sushi with mackerel, 3 pieces) will be provided as a light meal. Please participate in comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for movement, and bring drinks, trail snacks, and a towel. Bringing a tree field guide and a magnifying glass will make the experience even more enjoyable.
