About this event
A summer workshop hosted by the Hiramatsu Japonisme Art Research Foundation will be held in Karuizawa Town. In this workshop, two programs will be conducted at "Monet's Garden / Karuizawa," a venue normally not open to the public. The first program, titled "Look through Monet's 'Eyes' and Take Photos of the Garden!", allows participants to take photos of the garden using their own smartphones, print out their favorite shot, and take it home in a frame. This program is open to individuals aged 10 and above who can take photos with their own smartphones. The instructor will be artist Ryo Hamada. The second program is "Let's Craft Wild Birds Flying into <Monet's Garden / Karuizawa>!", where participants learn about the wild birds living in Karuizawa and create clay models utilizing their appearances and features. This is aimed at elementary school students and above, with artist Yasushi Watanabe serving as instructor. The participation fee is 500 yen for each program. Reservations must be made via the "Application Form" on the organizer's website. Since parking space at the venue is limited, please notify in advance on the application form if you wish to use it. The event will proceed in light rain; in case of cancellation, notifications will be sent by email by 20:00 the previous day.
