"Palette Hills Tree Planting Festival 2026," held at Palette Hills in Takasu Town, is an event where you can enjoy interacting with nature throughout the day. Starting at 10:00 AM, participants will contribute to local woodland creation through planting trees such as Ezo mountain cherry trees (Ezo-yamazakura). Following the opening ceremony and an explanation of planting guidelines, woodland creation and planting work using the mixed seeding method will be carried out. Lunch will also be distributed, allowing participants to refresh themselves in nature. In the afternoon, from 13:00 to 14:30, a walking tour titled "Let's Explore Palette Hills!" will be held, where participants will observe the flora and fauna on the premises under the guidance of experts. Furthermore, a stargazing event will take place from 19:00 to 20:00, offering a luxurious time to observe summer and autumn constellations. Tree planting requires advance registration, but the stargazing session requires no application and is open to anyone. This event is an opportunity to fully experience the charm of Palette Hills, a handmade woodland created by the local community.
