56th Shimosuwa Town Agriculture Festival & 22nd JA Shinshu Suwa Agriculture Festival (Shimosuwa Town Venue)

About this event

The Shimosuwa Town Agriculture Festival is held annually with the aim of promoting local consumption of locally grown produce and making the agricultural products of Shimosuwa widely known through the event. This year, it will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Akasagazaki Park Multi-Purpose Plaza. The opening ceremony will be held starting at 10:00 AM, followed by the sale of agricultural produce such as apples and vegetables, and free distribution of 300g bags of Shimosuwa-grown rice (limited to 200 portions), tonjiru (pork miso soup), and pickles. Numbered tickets for the rice will be distributed at the venue starting at 9:45 AM on the day. Visitors can also enjoy the 'Body Play Plaza' where children can have fun exercising on trampolines, as well as outdoor play equipment featuring a large Kumamon fluffy inflatable. At the concurrently held '22nd JA Shinshu Suwa Agricultural Cooperative Agriculture Festival (Shimosuwa Town Venue)', there will be sales of fruits and vegetables, children's ring toss, free distribution of popcorn, a parent-child craft corner, and a rice weight-guessing game. As stage events, Cosmos Neo (10:40–11:00) and the Soreike! Anpanman Show (11:15–) are also scheduled. In addition, the Shimosuwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry's 'Industry Festival' will be held on the same day.
