12th Outdoor Dog Festa in Yatsugatake

Held at the Fujimi Kogen Resort in Fujimi Town, Nagano Prefecture, the 12th Outdoor Dog Festa in Yatsugatake is Japan's only pet event where visitors can fully enjoy outdoor activities in great nature alongside their dogs. A wide variety of land, water, and air programs are available—including trail running, hiking, dog yoga, kayaking, and hot air balloon rides—allowing you to deepen the bond with your dog while enjoying various activities. The venue, Fujimi Kogen Resort, is located around the center of Japan and offers good access, about 2 hours via the Chuo Expressway from the Tokyo and Nagoya areas. It takes about 15 minutes to arrive after getting off the highway interchange, and access from the Shizuoka area has also become even more convenient with the opening of the Chubu-Odan Expressway. The event will be held rain or shine, but may be canceled in case of severe weather. Admission is by advance ticket only, with no same-day ticket sales. The fee is 500 yen per dog (for a 2-day ticket, dog admission is free on the second day); please check the official ticket page for pricing details. Advance reservation is required. The venue is fully equipped with a 1,350-square-meter natural turf dog run, open to all breeds from small to large dogs.
