Held in Fujimi Town, Nagano Prefecture, "Fujimi Jomon Halloween (Pedestrian Zone Festival)" is a unique festival themed around Jomon culture. In 2026, the "Jomon Food Fair" is held from October 1 to 31, with a hands-on "Let's Make Lanterns" event taking place during the period on October 15. As the climax of the event, the "Pedestrian Zone Festival" (Hokoten Matsuri) will be held on October 17. This festival aims to revitalize the community by bringing Fujimi Town's Jomon history and culture to life in modern times. Organized by the Jomon Promotion Committee Fujimi, the local Chamber of Commerce also serves as the secretariat. Through the event, participants can experience the food culture of the Jomon period as well as enjoyable Halloween activities. In particular, the "Pedestrian Zone Festival" is expected to be a lively, community-wide celebration held in a vehicle-free pedestrian paradise.
