Organized by the Minamiminowa Village Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the "2026 Shinshu Oshiba Plateau Illumination Festival" will be held from Saturday, October 3 to Saturday, October 24, 2026. During the event, gentle and heartwarming lights warmly welcome visitors daily from 17:00 to 21:00. This festival is said to be one of the largest illumination events in the prefecture, planned and operated with the involvement of local residents. Nursery school children, elementary school students, local residents, and companies decorate with their heartfelt wishes, creating a space full of energy, hope, and healing. As an event where people can not only watch but also participate, applications are being accepted for exhibitors and food/stall vendors, making it a warm festival of light created by the entire community.
