About this event
The autumn foliage of Senjojiki Cirque directly below Mount Hoken in the Central Alps is so popular that it has been featured on television programs highlighting autumn ropeways. The autumn foliage viewed from the Komagatake Ropeway spreads across the entire mountainside, and the sight of it shining in golden colors is truly a magnificent view. On the ropeway line with an elevation difference of 950 meters, you can enjoy the gradation of autumn foliage shifting from the summit down to the base. In addition, Senjojiki Cirque features a well-maintained walking trail that can be circled in about 40 minutes, allowing for hiking while admiring the autumn colors. The coloration varies each year depending on the climate, and the scenery—where the red of Japanese rowan, the yellow of Erman's birch, and the green of Siberian dwarf pine color the powerful mountain rock faces like a carpet—is picture-perfect beauty no matter where you look.
