About this event
The 5th Minamishinshu Takamori Town Music Festival Hi-Forest Music Festa 2026 will be held in Takamori Town, Nagano Prefecture. This music festival started in 2022 under the themes of Takamori: A Hometown of Music and the Alps, Heartfelt Bonds Resonating Through Music, and A Bridge to the Future and Next Generation, celebrating its 5th edition this year. With singing and choral music and wind band music as its two main pillars, it places importance not only on listening to first-class performances but also on residents creating the stage together. The main concert will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Takamori Junior High School Arena. Performers scheduled include soprano Sara Kobayashi, flutist Seiya Ueno, pianists Fumiya Koido and Maho Ishino, as well as the Hi-Forest Special Choir and the Takamori Junior High School Wind Band. Tickets are 2,000 yen for general admission and free for junior high school students and younger. Because it is a music festival in a small town, it is nurtured as a welcoming town event with low barriers to entry that can be enjoyed casually.
