Autumn Foliage at Kakizore Gorge

Kakizore Gorge is located in Nagiso Town, Nagano Prefecture, and is adorned with beautiful autumn foliage from mid-October to early November each year. Walking trails are well-maintained, allowing visitors to enjoy hiking while touring scenic spots such as Kurobuchi, Ushigataki Falls, Kirigadaki Falls, and Niji-no-Taki Falls. Considered particularly beautiful among the gorges along the Kisoji route, the contrast between the vivid autumn leaves and the emerald green clear stream flowing over eroded granite rock surfaces is well worth seeing. During the autumn foliage season, the entire gorge is dyed in shades of red and yellow, captivating visitors. In the surrounding area, there are accommodations such as TAOYA Kisoji, where visitors can enjoy their stay along with autumn leaf viewing.
