"Abundant Forest" Creation ABMORI in Kisomachi

About this event

Initiated by kabuki actor Danjuro Ichikawa, the tree-planting initiative 'ABMORI' will be held in Kiso Town starting this fiscal year. Set at the foot of Mount Ontake in the timber country of Kiso, this event aims to create connections between people and forests through the cultivation of rich woodlands. Participants can join the tree-planting activity alongside Danjuro Ichikawa and contribute to forest regeneration. The event features talk sessions and tree-planting activities, allowing for deeper interaction with nature. Applications are open not only to residents of Kiso Town but also to participants from outside the town, offering an opportunity to feel a connection with the local community through participation in forest stewardship. At the tree-planting site, 1,500 saplings across 8 tree species are scheduled to be planted.
