Held in Aibetsu Town, Hokkaido, the 40th Aibetsu 'Mushroom Village' Festival is an event where visitors can fully savor the autumn flavors of Aibetsu Town. Attendees can taste hearty dishes unique to Aibetsu Town, one of Hokkaido's leading mushroom-producing regions. Highlights include the 'Jumbo Mushroom Hot Pot' serving about 4,000 portions cooked in a pot 3.5 meters in diameter and 2 meters deep, and the 'Hyakusho Ikki-daki' where 100 sho (approx. 150 kg) of rice is cooked in a giant cauldron. With numerous local specialty sales and stage events planned, visitors can fully enjoy autumn flavors and pleasant times surrounded by great nature.
