About this event
Born from the desire to convey the stories and backgrounds behind how things are created directly from where they are made, 'Hida Workshop Tour: Where the Makers Are' is an open-atelier event where artists and craftspeople based in Hida open their workshops to the public, allowing visitors to learn about the studios, meet the artisans, and touch their creations. Visitors can see up close what kinds of workshops artists across various genres—including woodworking, dyeing and weaving, woodblock printing, ceramics, stained glass, glass art, paulownia craft, and lumber milling—create their works in. Please visit 'Where the Makers Are' to find your own one-of-a-kind favorite piece.
