'Let's Go to the Mountain Castles! 2026' is part of an event series where you can experience the appeal of mountain castles in and around Kani City from multiple angles under the theme of 'Learn, Tour, Support, and Gather!' In this event, 'Hyotei (Council)', held at Kani Public Arts Center ala, castle specialist guests well known in Kani City—led by Shota Shunputei, a famous rakugo storyteller and castle enthusiast—will delve deeply into the history of mountain castles. Part 1 will be an introductory session explaining the history of mountain castles, offering content that even beginners can enjoy. Following in Part 2, a specialized lecture will examine the Battle of Sekigahara and the mountain castles before and after it, allowing attendees to gain deeper knowledge. Through this lecture, participants will be able to rediscover the historical significance and charm of mountain castles and experience their depth.
