About this event

'Kasamatsu Community Disaster Prevention Day 2026,' an event where everyone from children to adults can enjoy learning about disaster preparedness, will be held at Kasamatsu Elementary School. Conducted in conjunction with local disaster prevention drills, it aims to raise disaster awareness. On the day, class observation at Kasamatsu Elementary School will also take place, and 4th through 6th grade elementary school students are scheduled to participate as part of their classes. The venue will feature indoor and outdoor booths offering various disaster prevention experiences and learning programs. Participants will receive participation prizes at headquarters, and a stamp rally for junior high school students and younger will also be held, where collecting stamps can be exchanged for sweets. This event is held with the support of many cooperating organizations, including Gifu Local Meteorological Observatory, NTT West, Co-op Gifu Consumer Co-operative, Gifu Public Health Center, Chubu Regional Development Association, Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance, Chubu Electric Power Grid, Kiso River Upstream River Office, Kasamatsu Disaster Prevention Leaders Association, Hashima District In-Home Healthcare and Nursing Care Collaboration Promotion Council Disaster Prevention Division, Hashima District Wide Area Fire Bureau, Kasamatsu Town Volunteer Fire Brigade, Gifu Hashima Police Station, JSDF Gifu Provincial Cooperation Office, Kasamatsu Town Water and Sewerage Equipment Cooperative, Gifu Prefecture LP Gas Association, and Kasamatsu Town Council of Social Welfare. Admission is free.
