About this event

The summer special exhibition 'Battle Screen Paintings: Narrating and Depicting Tales of Bravery' at the Gifu Sekigahara Battlefield Memorial Museum visually introduces the historical sequence from Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu's Battle of Komaki and Nagakute, through the invasions of Korea and the Battle of Sekigahara, to the Siege of Osaka, centering on Sengoku battle screen folding paintings. It also explains the production methods of folding screens and the dye materials used, and showcases the newly acquired 'Battle of Sekigahara Screen Painting'. As a project for parents and children to enjoy during the summer vacation, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of battle screens depicting and narrating heroic tales of the Sengoku period.
