Abegokoro Summer Excitement Festival

About this event

Held at the Shizuoka City Shizuhata Urban-Rural Exchange Center 'Abegokoro', the 'Abegokoro Summer Excitement Festival' is a hands-on event for parents and children to enjoy together. A wide variety of craft workshops are available, including wind chime painting, water gun crafting, marine wreath brooches, stained-glass-style paper fans, doodle rice crackers, a fun fishing game, bouncy ball scooping, ribbon lei straps, jelly lights, ball tossing, yo-yo fishing, button badge and badge mirror crafting, and dimple art experiences. In addition, stage shows featuring hip-hop as well as hula and Tahitian dance will be held, allowing visitors to spend a delightful time surrounded by the nature of a summer satoyama. Admission is free, though material fees may apply separately. Event details are subject to change, and the event will proceed rain or shine, although activities may be limited to indoor programs only. No advance reservation is required, but early participation is recommended as capacity is limited.
