About this event

The Hagoromo Festival is a cultural project aimed at honoring the French dancer Hélène Giuglaris, promoting Japan-France international exchange, and understanding and passing down the Legend of the Feather Robe (Hagoromo). In the main program, the Miho Hagoromo Takigi Noh, two Noh plays and one Kyogen play will be performed. Specifically, the Noh play "Hagoromo: Wago no Mai," the Kyogen play "Hi no Sake," and the Noh play "Sesshoseki: Hakuto" will be presented. In addition, the dedication and floral offering of the Hagoromo dance dedicated to Hélène Giuglaris will also be conducted. As a free program, there will also be a Noh performance by students of Shizuoka Municipal Shimizu Fifth Junior High School and a chanting troupe. The venue is the Shizuoka City Shimizu Cultural Hall Marinart, and flower offerings will also take place in front of the Hélène monument. Tickets will be sold on Ticket Pia, priced at 5,000 yen for general admission and 2,000 yen for those 22 years old and under. Ticket sales are scheduled to start from August 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
