Jinba Falls Festival

About this event

This festival is held at Jinba Falls, where Minamoto no Yoritomo is said to have set up camp during the Fuji no Makigari (hunting expedition on Mount Fuji). As an event where you can forget the summer heat and feel the coolness alongside the clear stream, there will be a children's warrior procession by students of Inokashira Elementary School, a free trout-catching experience for elementary school students and younger, Jinba Falls Taiko drum performances, and sales of local produce such as seasonal agricultural goods and wasabi. Positioned as part of the 'Fuji no Makigari Festival' associated with Minamoto no Yoritomo, various festivities will unfold, including the children's warrior procession and Jinba Falls Taiko drumming. In addition, participatory activities such as a raffle and trout catching are prepared.
