About this event
The '33rd Memorial Fujikawa Kiwi Marathon' held in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a citizen-participation marathon event where runners can experience scenic views of the Fuji River and the autumn breeze. Named after the local specialty kiwi fruit, participants receive specialty kiwi fruit as a gift. A wide variety of divisions are available, including 20km, 10km, 5km, 3km, and 1km, with events suitable for families as well. The nature-rich course and warm cheers from local residents enliven the event. In addition to kiwi fruit, participation prizes include towels and T-shirts (excluding the 1km division). A special Kiwi Award is also prepared for the 9th-place runner, making it a kiwi-packed event. Shuttle buses and parking are available at the venue, but public transportation is recommended as traffic congestion on surrounding roads is expected every year. There is no check-in on the day of the event; athlete bibs and timing chips will be mailed in advance.
