About this event
Warmth created by the hands of a 97-year-old: An exhibition of Setsu Kimura's newspaper chigiri-e (torn paper collages). This is the first large-scale solo exhibition in the prefecture by 97-year-old Setsu Kimura, who depicts everyday dining tables and scenery—such as crispy fried shrimp and bright red jam toast—using torn newspaper collages. Visitors can enjoy works showcasing great attention to detail and a playful spirit, accompanied by warm and humorous messages. During the exhibition period, special events including a book signing & commemorative photo session with the artist herself, a newspaper chigiri-e workshop, and artwork commentary by curators will also be held. On Monday (national holiday), September 21, a "Respect for the Aged Day" special offer will provide a 20% admission discount for visitors aged 65 and older.
