Held on Sunday, November 22, 2026, the '3rd Gotemba Furyu Festival' is a day where traditional performing arts and culture handed down in Gotemba, alongside glamorous parades and stage events, bring color to the town. On the day of the event, the 'Furyu Parade' will take place, featuring an Ochimusha (fallen warrior) procession and a Kitsune no Yomeiri (fox wedding) procession traveling back and forth between Niihashi Sengen Shrine and Gotemba Station. At Niihashi Sengen Shrine, the main venue, there will be stage performances of traditional arts, a 'Gotemba Famous Sake Tasting Experience' to enjoy local Gotemba sake, matcha tea service, and a Japanese-style market. Along the parade route on My Road and at 'Kyotemba' in front of Gotemba Station, markets and exhibitions will also be held, making it a special day to fully experience the charm of regional culture. The festival is also recruiting staff to help liven up the event as well as same-day participants for the Ochimusha and fox wedding processions, providing an opportunity to participate not only as a spectator but also as a creator.
