Roadside Station Amagigoe Autumn Foliage Festival

About this event

This is an autumn foliage festival held at Roadside Station Amagigoe in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. During the festival, admission to the Izu Modern Literature Museum located inside Showa no Mori Kaikan, normally 300 yen, is discounted by 50 yen, and visitors can enjoy the autumn leaves from the museum courtyard along with tea and sweets. In the courtyard, there are autumn foliage trees such as Japanese maple, Enkianthus perulatus, and zelkova, allowing visitors to appreciate the beautiful autumn scenery of Amagi while viewing the relocated former residence of Yasushi Inoue built in 1890 (Meiji 23). Deep in the garden, a maple grove with autumn leaves extends, and what can be seen deep in the garden is the relocated former residence of Yasushi Inoue built in 1890 (Meiji 23). Vibrant red autumn leaves can be enjoyed from the museum courtyard. It is recommended for autumn foliage viewing with family and friends, as well as for dates.
