This competition is positioned as part of the "Surf Town Initiative" promoted by Omaezaki City, with local residents and the community uniting to support the event. The main sponsor, whitebuffalo, has a track record of bringing WSL tours to Japan and is hosting the Omaezaki event for the third time. Top domestic and international surfers are scheduled to compete, including Mirai Ikeda (Japan Asian Games representative), Shino Matsuda (Paris Olympics Japan representative), Hiroto Ohhara, as well as Anon Matsuoka and Keijiro Nishi, who are active in the Challenger Series.
