Held at the Inatori Hosono Plateau in Higashiizu Town, the "Inatori Hosono Plateau Autumn Japanese Pampas Grass Viewing" is an event where visitors can enjoy vast colonies of Japanese pampas grass (susuki) shining in golden hues. Looking down upon the blue waters of the Sagami Sea, an extraordinary panoramic view unfolds that cannot be seen anywhere else. The magical natural beauty is breathtaking and captivates all who visit. During the event period, scheduled route buses run between Izu-Inatori Station and the venue exclusively on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays (fare required). Access to the venue requires caution, as vehicles with a seating capacity of 11 or more passengers cannot enter due to difficulty passing oncoming traffic on narrow roads. Admission is 1,000 yen for adults (junior high school students and older, includes mountain entry fee plus a shopping voucher) and free for elementary school students and younger. The event runs from 10:00 to 16:00, but will be cancelled in the event of rain.
