About this event
'DANCE ZANMAI 2026' is a dance event held across downtown Toyohashi on the first day of the 'Eejanaika Toyohashi Festival.' Based on the 'Eejanaika' spirit of 'Let's thoroughly enjoy today and connect it to tomorrow!' and under the concept of 'Amplification and Propagation,' both dancers and spectators feel joy and excitement through dance, enlivening the city and creating an extraordinary atmosphere. This event also plays a role in leading up to the subsequent 'So-Odori' (grand dance). The event consists of two divisions: the 'Showcase Division' and the 'Contest Division.' The 'Showcase Division' is open to anyone regardless of age or gender to dance freely, held at multiple downtown venues including the Kokoiko venue, Machinaka Square venue, South Exit Station Square venue, Hirokoji 1-chome venue, Hirokoji Kayamachi venue, and Hirokoji 2-chome venue. The 'Contest Division' is judged to determine prize winners and is held on the stage at the Matsuba Park venue. Participation is free, and there are no qualification requirements. The application period is from July 1 to July 31, 2026.
