20th Asian Games Handball Competition

About this event

The handball competition of Asia's largest sporting event, the "20th Asian Games" held in Aichi Prefecture in 2026, will take place at venues in Kasugai City and Inazawa City. The tournament period spans 16 days from Saturday, September 19, 2026, to Sunday, October 4. The handball competition is scheduled to be held at the Kasugai City Gymnasium (Kasugai City) and the Toyoda Gosei Memorial Gymnasium [ENTRIO] (Inazawa City). The Japan Men's National Team "Zeekstar JAPAN (Suisei JAPAN)" will face Qatar, China, and Hong Kong, China in Group A, while the Japan Women's National Team "Orihime Japan" will compete in a round-robin tournament among 7 teams. The men's competition schedule is from Sunday, September 20, 2026, to Tuesday, September 29, and the women's is from Monday (national holiday), September 21, to Sunday, September 27. Handball matches at the Kasugai City Gymnasium will take place from Sunday, September 20, to Saturday, September 26. Since there are no spectator parking lots or bicycle parking areas at either venue, the use of public transportation is recommended. Tickets are currently on sale, but as popular sports are selling out, early purchase is urged.
