Who Doesn't Look? Keiko Sena Exhibition

About this event

The first major retrospective exhibition after the passing of picture book author Keiko Sena (1931–2024), widely known for the ghost in "Don't Want to Go to Sleep?" ("Nenai Ko Dare da"). Her numerous original picture books continue to be read by many people today. Based on 10 essential topics that illustrate her creative journey, this exhibition introduces between approximately 350 and 400 diverse works, including original picture book illustrations from her debut "Iyada Iyada no Ehon" series and her work on kamishibai paper plays. It is a rare opportunity to experience Keiko Sena's warm yet distinctive worldview.
