Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games Torch Relay (Konan City)

About this event

The 20th Asian Games is the largest sporting event in Asia held once every four years under the philosophy of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The games will be held from September 19 to October 4, 2026, marking the third time they are held in Japan and the first in 32 years since the 1994 Hiroshima Games. In Konan City, traffic restrictions will be in place in conjunction with the execution of this Asian Games Torch Relay. Traffic restrictions are scheduled from around 10:30 AM to around 11:40 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2026, covering the area around the Konan City Sports Center. This torch relay is an important event to carry the sacred flame, filled with the passionate wishes of everyone involved in the games, toward the opening ceremony by connecting torches and delivering it to the cauldron at the main venue. The torch relay in Konan City will bring vitality to the local community and serve as an opportunity to build excitement for the games.
