About this event
The 'Shurakuen Park Autumn Leaves Festival,' held at Shurakuen Park in Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture, is an event where visitors can enjoy the vivid colors of about 500 maple trees of 6 varieties, including Japanese maple (Iroha momiji), of various sizes surrounding the 18.8-meter-tall Shurakuen Great Buddha. With the arrival of autumn, the entire park is wrapped in autumn foliage, enchanting visitors. In particular, the beautiful autumn leaves adorning the area around the Great Buddha are breathtaking. During the period, nighttime light-ups are also conducted, allowing visitors to enjoy fantastical autumn foliage scenery. In addition, at Omeian tea house, guests can enjoy tea while admiring the autumn leaves and spend a tranquil time. The best viewing time in typical years is from late November to early December, during which various events such as performing arts presentations, parent-child craft plazas, and soap bubble experiences are held, offering fun for families as well.
