2026 Obu Children's Kabuki Class Presentation

Obu City will host the "2026 Obu Children's Kabuki Class," where children can experience the charm of Kabuki. In this class, participants learn Kabuki's unique line delivery, traditional gestures, and stage fighting under the guidance of instructors. Children work hard in daily practice using authentic costumes, stage sets, and props with the support of adults passionate about passing down traditional performing arts. The instruction is designed so children can understand the background and meaning of Kabuki while experiencing movements not normally done and enjoying the fun of acting with friends. Finally, a presentation will be held on the stage of the Obu Cultural Exchange Center Komorebi Hall to showcase their achievements.
