About this event

The 32nd Togo Town Citizens Regatta is a regatta competition held at the Aichi Pond Rowing Course. Held annually since the rowing events of the 1994 National Sports Festival took place at Aichi Pond, it now attracts more than 80 crews of all ages and genders. Beginners can easily row after practicing on official practice days, encouraging casual participation. The race category is the knuckle four, and the rowing distance is 500 meters. The competition divisions include Guts Men Division (men under 156 combined years of age), Gentlemen Division (men aged 156 and over), Grand Senior Men Division (men aged 240 and over), Lady Division (women under 156 combined years of age), Madam Division (women aged 156 and over), Grand Senior Women Division (women aged 240 and over), and Mix Division (2 male and 2 female rowers). In addition, a newly established "Enjoy Rowing" division has been introduced, which features no ranking and warmly welcomes beginners. There are no gender requirements, and anyone who is in the 4th grade of elementary school or above and has the skill to operate a knuckle four boat can participate. Eligibility requirements apply to healthy individuals who reside in the town, work in the town, or attend school in the town, in the 4th grade of elementary school or above, possessing the skill to operate a knuckle four boat. For crews that include elementary school students, at least one adult must be on board. Participation in one official practice day for the Citizens Regatta is required; however, crews with no prior race experience are required to participate twice.
