About this event
Held as a project sponsored by Togo Town, Aichi Prefecture, the "11th Aichinoike Half Marathon & Family Run" is an event aimed at promoting health and regional understanding set around Aichinoike pond, which is rich in water and greenery. The course is flat and fast, making it ideal for runners aiming to beat their personal bests. The time limit is generous and the completion rate is 98%, so even beginners can participate with peace of mind. After the race, complimentary warm tonjiru (pork miso soup) is provided to soothe chilled bodies. In addition, aid stations along the course offer Christmas-themed "fun snacks," allowing you to enjoy eating as well as running. Three categories are offered: half marathon, jogging, and kids' run, making participation as a family possible. Using the Aichinoike walking course, participants can run while fully enjoying nature. As an event objective, raising awareness among many people about the purposes for which Aichinoike pond was built (drinking water, industrial water, and agricultural water) is also highlighted. Participants will receive an original event T-shirt as a commemorative gift.
