About this event

Held at Chausuyama Highlands, where autumn foliage begins earliest in Aichi Prefecture, the 'Autumn Chausuyama Highlands Festival' is an event where visitors can fully enjoy the charms of autumn. Amid the peak autumn foliage, the 'Imonikai' (potato stew gathering) prepared in a large pot about 2 meters in diameter serves warm soup that warms the body and soul in the crisp air. In addition, at the 'Onyu River Sweetfish and Red-Spotted Masu Trout Festival,' visitors can enjoy comparing the flavors of sweetfish (ayu) and red-spotted masu trout (amago) caught in the Onyu River, which has previously won the semi-Grand Prix at the National Sweetfish Tasting Contest. Furthermore, a maze made of Japanese pampas grass will appear this year, offering a sense of exploration. At night, the area around Yahazu Pond will be illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere. The autumn foliage at Chausuyama Highlands is at its best from late October to early November, and foliage illumination will also take place from October 11 to November 3.
