About this event

The Suzuka Festival (Suzu-Fes), a summer tradition in Suzuka, is organized with the aim of creating a festival created by citizens, in which anyone can participate and become a main character. Approximately 2,400 dancers from within and outside the prefecture will deliver energetic dance performances at various locations throughout the city, centered around the main venue at Bentenyama Park, bringing further excitement to Suzuka's summer. One of the best parts of this festival is the 'So-odori' (mass dance), where dancers and spectators come together in excitement. By learning the choreography in advance and dancing together at the venue, you can feel the festival's vibrant energy firsthand. In addition, judges are being recruited this year, providing a valuable opportunity to be involved in the management of the festival. At the Bentenyama Park main venue, dance performances and the So-odori will take place from afternoon to evening, and spectators can watch for free. Participation in the dance competition requires a fee. A photo contest will also be held, allowing people to capture wonderful moments of the festival in photos and submit them.
