About this event
The special exhibition lecture "Archaeological Materials and Modern Art" held at the Suzuka City Archaeological Museum focuses on the activities of modern and contemporary artists who incorporated archaeological materials. In particular, Maiko Hara, a curator at the Mie Prefectural Art Museum, will explain the common points observed between the depictions of Yae Asano, a Western-style painter from Suzuka City, and the pictorial techniques of earthenware. This lecture provides a valuable opportunity to explore the connection between archaeological perspectives and modern art. Participants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the counter on the day of the event, with a capacity of 50 people. Participants in the lecture also receive the benefit of free admission to the special exhibition and permanent exhibition for that day only.
