Boasting a long history, "Nabari Autumn Festival" is an exciting festival to watch and even more fun to experience, featuring powerful portable shrines (mikoshi) and drum floats parade through the town. On the first day, the evening torch procession and lion dance are must-see highlights. The enchanting glow of lanterns wraps around Nabari's historic streetscape, creating a scene where light flickers on cobblestones like an autumn evening dream. On the following day, drum floats and danjiri parade gallantly through the streets, filled with the energetic shouts of the people. Centered around Urufushi Shrine, which retains the atmosphere of the Edo period, the entire town is filled with the heartbeat of the festival for two days. Located close to Nabari Station, even casual travelers will be captivated by the warmth of the lights and the lively enthusiasm.
