Hometown Summer Festival: Kinomoto Jizo Grand Fair

Held in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, the 'Hometown Summer Festival: Kinomoto Jizo Grand Fair' is a summer tradition in Nagahama held in conjunction with the grand fair of Kinomoto Jizoin Temple, known as the Buddha of the eyes. During the period, about 100 street stalls line the Hokkoku Kaido road and Jizozaka slope around Kinomoto Jizoin Temple, creating a lively scene. Every year, as many as 100,000 people visit during the event period. On the final day of the festival, the 'Kinomoto Grand Fireworks Display' will be held at the Kohoku THG Twin Arena, brilliantly lighting up the night sky. This festival is an event where you can enjoy both community-rooted tradition and summer vitality at the same time.
