Held in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, 'Wadaiko Sound Yumenomori 2026' promises a moving evening woven by the resounding beats of Japanese taiko drums. It will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Koka City Kafuka Yume no Mori (Stage of Cultural Creation). Doors open at 15:00, the performance begins at 16:00, and it is scheduled to conclude at 20:00. In addition to spirited performances by amateur wadaiko groups, the Shiga Prefecture Joint Children's 100-Drummer Taiko 'Omi Children Wadaiko Federation Yume no Tsuzumi' and guest performers 'Huis Ten Bosch Tenko' are scheduled to appear, making the breathtaking 100-drummer taiko (a joint performance by all participants) an absolute must-see. Participating groups include Koka Nintama Taikodan, Kosaji Suiryo Taiko, Suzu Onsen Taiko with Gamono Taiko Warabegumi, Tenbin Taiko Juku, Kokoku Junibo Taiko Preservation Society, Hyozu Taiko Preservation Society, Kingyo Taiko, Tsu Takatora Taiko, and more. Unreserved seating is 3,000 yen (3,500 yen on the day), reserved seating is 4,000 yen, and special reserved seating is 5,000 yen (advance sale only). High school students and younger are admitted free, but must be accompanied by a guardian and register on the day. In case of rain, the event will be held at Aikoka Civic Hall.
