About this event
Held for the first time in Higashiomi City, "Eeyan Festa: Sky Lanterns Dancing in the Night Sky" is a magical event where 300 sky lanterns decorate the autumn night sky. At the venue, along with the colorful lantern launches, numerous food and beverage booths serving local gourmet cuisine and sweets will be open. Viewing is free, but tickets with exchange vouchers for launch lanterns are also sold, with one lantern provided per ticket. The lanterns use LED lights, allowing children to enjoy them safely. For environmental protection, the lanterns are released with attached strings rather than set loose into the open sky. The event will proceed in light rain, but may be cancelled in case of stormy weather or natural disasters.
