Super-Long Nagashi Somen Tournament 2026

About this event

The annual "Super-Long Nagashi Somen Tournament" will be held at the Ayabe Satoyama Exchange and Training Center. Visitors can enjoy authentic flowing somen noodles served along ultra-long bamboo flumes. While waiting, plenty of activities for children and adults are available, including making water guns and uchiwa fans, playing Jenga, and trying boccia—making it a perfect event for creating memories with family and friends. There will also be sales of "Eco Soap" made from recycled cooking oil by the Environmental Citizens' Council, and a waste sorting game called "AYABIN." Come enjoy a fun time surrounded by the nature of the satoyama countryside to wrap up this summer. The activity fee is 500 yen per person, and nagashi somen runs from 11:00 to 14:00. Capacity is limited to the first 70 participants.
