About this event
Held at Shoryuji Castle Park in Nagaokakyo City, the 'Harvest Moon Banquet' (Meigetsu no Utage) is an event celebrating classical performing arts and autumn evenings. Ten groups will perform on a special stage, presenting arts such as taishogoto (Nagoya harp), shakuhachi, Japanese classical dance (Nihon buyo), and shigin poetry recitation. Visitors can immerse themselves in an elegant world while feeling the beginning of autumn. The venue will also be decorated with bamboo lanterns from Otonarisan Bamboo Land and lanterns crafted from milk cartons by local elementary school students. At Shoryuji Castle Park, a site associated with Akechi Mitsuhide and Hosokawa Gracia, visitors can enjoy the event while reflecting on history.
